Every time I pop Sarah McLachlan's Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album into the CD player, it turns my drive into one long fanficcing daydream for any pairing in my head--and I mean I've probably applied any random line from any of the songs to every fandom I've participated in. It's been a while since the last time it's been blaring through my car stereo (aside: it seems all the songs I especially like have more "fumbling" than "ecstasy" in them), but nowadays I've been indulging in Xena: Warrior Princess... and FTE has proven itself to be depressingly apt. Check it out:
( Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, ala Xena and Gabrielle (now with copy and pasted lyrics from the Internets!) )
Fumbling Towards Ecstasy rocks so much. It's a compilation of songs that always speaks of such longing to me, which is probably why I put all my pairings through the wringer while listening to it. Then I just pop in Surfacing which has "Building a Mystery", "Sweet Surrender", and "Witness" on it, then follow it up with Solace, and I'm pretty sappily angsty.
