(no subject)

You know you're reading too much Xena fanfiction when... you want to write an uber. D: (I set out to read an uber the other day... and then realized it was like 400+ pages, unfinished, and an amazing amount of the two characters dancing around each other. ... It's well written, but... ultimately has no promise of satisfaction.)

Which actually brings me to another thought. Yeah, I'm going to touch on the ugly Xena and Gabrielle: lovers or not? issue. Kind of. I actually want to start on the Soulmates point. ( Follow the white rabbit... )

SCHWA!

One of my favoritest words ever, because I ran into it today: "schwa" (ə), forever to be associated in my mind with the name "Stephanie." While in grade school, learning the most random things which apparently included reading pronunciation guides if the subject "schwa" coming up is any indication (no, I don't remember and, no, it definitely wasn't grade school that helped me learn how to use those damn things), the Stephanie of my class said something along the lines of, "Schwa, like the sound in my name" or "I have a schwa in my name," which did teach me what a schwa was and how it sounded. =D

SCHWA! Shhhhh-wa! I love the feel/sound of it for no reason that I can put into words.
