Not sure I'm gonna do a weekend round-up so I'll share SNSD's Inkigayo goodbye stage (I have no idea if this means they are ending "Genie" promotions as a whole or just not performing on Inki again. No one seems to really know, as this pretty much came up last minute):

I thought that despite the false rumors about the crazy girl group mix ups that there was going to be a girl group special stage, but it was only the "Genie" cover by the boys. ROFL worthy, especially MC Mong, but I was kind of wincing at how it sounded.

Last.fm apparently thought I needed to know Sam Sparro. I agree. Apparently I already knew him through "Black & Gold" but then I heard "Sally" and when I tuned into the lyrics I was like, "Is this a more explicit version of 'Roxanne'? I.e. 'Girl, why you gotta sell your body, with those caramel thighs and your momma's green eyes?'" But it's a fun listen. Odd, that.

"I just want a wish!" - awesome practice footage

I woke up to craver199103 linking me to SNSD's pre-release "Genie" practice video. HOLY CRAP. This is BETTER than a dance version of the MV! I loooooooooove BTS footage like this (Morning Musume had quite a number of their practice vids released, sometimes filled with giggling and some mess ups). And FINALLY! We always got to see SM's boy bands practicing so this is a treat. I'm a little foggy-minded at the moment but

"Genie" Weekend Roundup, 6th ed.

I posted excessively this weekend, so apologies for the SNSD-fangirling that invaded flists that have no interest (but give some a watch, like the "Sorry Sorry" cover--you may enjoy!).

First AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW SEASON 4 PREMIERES TONIGHT on MTV, 9 p.m. EST/PST. YAY!

This was kind of an odd weekend for SNSD, as they didn't perform on Music Bank and sprung their "goodbye stage" on Inkigayo, which means nothing more than the fact that they are stopping their promotions for "Genie." The mystery is whether this means that they will perform on Music Bank or Music Core next weekend or not. silis7noy @soompi said that news broke that SNSD will not be performing on MuBank or MuCore next week, according to a new story, the last stage will be on MuCore, there will be new music this year, and they're going to promote abroad???? Whatever's going on, Chocolate airs next Saturday and that will be awesome!

I am way distracted by Lil' Mama's jewelry. What the heck? Spotted Beat Freaks Rino and Shorty in the crowd. SNSD has spoiled me for in sync dancing b/c I keep noticing people out of sync. ABDC is all about heartwarming stories and confessionals, apparently--does every crew have an agenda? Huh, ABDC will be airing every Sunday now.

Wow. There wasn't a crew where I thought, "Wow, how did they make it through the auditions?" That makes me happy. Oh man, the level of talent is really high this season. The lowest common denominator is not low at all, whereas in previous seasons there were crews I wanted voted off almost immediately (some survived for a very long time, making me question America's tastes . . . but that's to be expected, I think). I'M WAY EXCITED FOR THIS SEASON!

Ah, I missed all the "BRING IT" commentary. LOL. And Mario Lopez's fail!MCing. LOL.

AHAHAHA. Beyonce tribute episode. Dude, Hyo, why aren't you in a creeew?!

For those who don't want to watch on MTV's schedule, MTV does put up full episodes on the ABDC website. You might have to wait until the day after the episodes air, though. MTV is hardcore about trying to have YT vids pulled, so this is really your best online bet. I am actually sitting here watching the re-run on TV.
