Intimate Note: some transparency into the workings of SNSD

"Intimate Note" with SNSD ended up kind of emplifying what I find so fascinating and interesting about the group: these are 9 girls who are very close to each other (some more than others) and who have, for the past two years, weathered living together. Before that, some of them had seen each other while they were trainees for up to six years (Jessica, HyoYeon, SooYoung bullying YuRi her first year points to the seniority of the trainees, lol), so they have a ton of history. The very fact that they feel comfortable enough to air their grievances on television indicates to me just how close they are. These are complaints they might have or might not have voiced to each other before but they aren't afraid to say (or yell) them at each other here. They feel open enough to put it out there and confident enough that it's not going to ruin their relationships with each other.

Seeing how much was said and revealed, I really am very sad that Tiffany wasn't there. The volume level would have probably been twice as loud--watching SooYoung, I cannot believe that the members say that Fany is the loudest--and probably twice as heated, as Fany doesn't like losing arguments. Still, it would have been really interesting because of lot of group and one-on-one dynamics came out.

I've watched both njoymeplz's and babyji91's subs. The first is a very literal translation. There are some discrepancies between both of them as well but a lot of agreement. I'll look forward to SSF subs but even with these two versions, I have a lot of thoughts floating in my mind, some new things (to me, at least) that I've taken notice of and some old things that I've finally seen confirmed in this show.
