Sports TL;DR!

I seem to be falling (back) into a sports watching phase. Internet streaming has hugely facilitated this: putting a sports cast mindlessly in the background can be done just about anywhere and it's not so hard to find the sport you want to watch.
I have immense respect for athletes. It's part awe of talent, recognition of hard work, and just pure joy in watching the state of physical freedom that athletes inhabit, how their bodies have been taught to respond without hesitation, the miraculousness of how all the separate parts work together seamlessly. Or, even, how all the team members work together seamlessly.

( Wait, I'm not done with tennis yet. Let's talk about Maria Sharapova. )
Anyway, the Olympics are coming! Are we from different countries all gonna talk smack on each other? Because now that I've looked at wiki and seen that Brazil won the gold for women's indoor volleyball last time around, I'mma want revenge, y'know? Apparently USA took the World Grand Prix title, so y'all better watch out! Of course, I'll be watching gymnastics and probably swimming and maybe diving (which is really just another form of gymnastics), and track and field events . . . eeeee, Olympics!
