Why are Showcase's promos so much better than Syfy's?
SERIOUSLY:
Syfy
My reaction when I watched it last night at the end of 3x12's airing: "Oh."
Showcase
My reaction when I watched it just now: "OH MY GOD."
It's like Syfy doesn't even try. ACTUALLY, THE MOST SHOCKING PART ABOUT SYFY'S PROMO IS THAT IT HAD LAUREN IN IT! LAUREN IS ALMOST NEVER IN A SYFY PROMO! Meaning, possibly, that she plays a very small role in the finale OR that this is her last episode? XD
I'm so confused and don't know how much of this is a fakeout, especially considering the repair job the show has been attempting to do with some of the character dynamics and relationships, only to have these last two episodes happen, I don't even know.
It seems, to me, that they were banking on a Season 4 because I CANNOT see how the many, many issues that have yet to be addressed will be addressed. I mean, overarching ominous threat for the whole season plus sudden plot development in the last three episodes???
Lauren, are you for reals crossing the Rubicon now because I need to know what you said to Bo's face because I do think you are about to burn so many bridges that you will regret later.
(This means there will be no hot kiss, huh? *sigh* "Lost Girl," so many--so many--callbacks this season and this is the one you're going to drop?
I may actually be sad when this season ends. Not because it was a great season, per se. It had an incredibly strong start and then began foundering with really bad pacing and anticlimactic fallout issues, but I actually followed the entire season from the start to finish. I hadn't even done that with Season 1. And now I'm kind of invested in these character journeys and developments and so I'll be sad having to wait many months until Season 4. :( Well, if Lauren is killed off, I might not actually have to wait for anything. XD)
