The members teasing maknae for the way she said, "Is it the one-day dad?" was awesome. YuRi's gift to all the members was so sweet. HyoYeon doesn't play fair. She deserved two or three more hits than the one she received. Hyo also doesn't pull her own slaps and hits. That smack she gave YuRi's butt was meaty (I've seen her give YuRi's thigh a good slap, too, and YuRi only reciprocated with a weak swat) and Syoung looked ready to kill Hyo after that sound bonk. Those awkward poses as they were trying to come up with portrait ideas were so funny. No YoonA or Sunny. =/
Re: Jaebeom's quitting 2PM. If it was his own decision to leave, I don't understand why he didn't weather the drama out. It's coming to light now that, despite having written what he did on MySpace about not liking Korea when he had first gone over and was still lonely, he'd written positive things about Korea and wanting to live there at a later point in time. If he'd've weathered it out--or, heck, brought it up himself (can he not remember what he wrote?)--I don't see why he (or JYP) couldn't have let it blow over. He wrote an apology. He could've slipped that in there, like, "Hey, look, that really was when I was young, check out these other things I'd written when I was more mature and had adjusted to my new living environment." Antis have said, done, and speculated from extrapolation more horrific things, I think, than that. Yes? No? The number of times I've seen (female) idols called ugly, plastic, whores, sluts, fake, impolite, inappropriate, etc. boggles the mind.
It would be interesting to know if this were a management decision or Jaebeom's own.
(Mind you, if this were America, scandal kind of just feeds the entertainment machine. I mean, if you can do half the crazy things that Britney Spears has done in that period of time when she was pretty much mentally breaking down, and then come back and still sell records and be an international star? Of course, you do have to wait for all the negative reactions to blow over. Then again, I did meet a big Spears fan who loved all the drama. It was . . . illuminating.)
