"A Question of Identity: The headline, the tweet, and the unfair significance of Jeremy Lin", via longform

This is such a fascinating sentence (partly because it resonated powerfully when I read it): "Like many of the Asian American kids of my generation stuck somewhere between white and black, I filled the vacant parts of my identity with basketball and hip-hop."

Other things that hit me in this article: silence (of a community) and the assertion that the "model minority" moniker has expired. It has?!
